Hello everyone, today we were made aware of our hoster leaving their position at WiiMart.
This comes after a huge decline in popularity, staff mismanagement, and a failed merger agreement due to ownership issues.

The server will be temporarily transferred back to the owner's personal VPS, the low-resource one (2 GB RAM) it was originally started on back in March 2025. I know this is going to cause a wave of backlash, but a lot of things in this situation weren't my choice. In fact, I am resigning because of the internal choices made.

This is not meant to dwell on issues though, some people still have got WiiWare and retro titles to grab!

What to use now

If you'd like a reliably-hosted WAD downloader, then I've got just the thing for you.

WiiLikeToParty is a simple homebrew app made for downloading Wii Shop content straight from Nintendo's servers. Despite it being archived, it still works and was even released before WiiMart launched. Instructions are available here.

Hoster position

The owner does need help with server hosting. For people with the hardware for it, you can contact him via Discord (@ocarinaoftime64). An estimate of 5 GB RAM and 400 GB storage is needed.

Instructions for self-hosting are available here, recently updated in case the project fails.
